• Criterion #4: Adaptivity (A).

  • The consistency maintenance algorithm can be fixed or adaptive to the characteristics of the access patterns to the data objects.

• Classes:

  • Fixed schemes (f) as in [SMITH85,CYTRO88,CHEON89,TARTA92]
  • Adaptive schemes (a) as in [BENN90b]

• Comment:

  • So far, only one adaptive scheme has been noticed in the open literature [BENN90b]
