I got B.Sc. in electrical engineering at Belgrade University in 1993. Then, I got M.A. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering at Princeton University, in 1996 and 1999. I have worked at AT&T Labs Research in USA from 1999 until 2004, and at NEC USA in Princeton during summers 1997 and 1998. From May 2007 until July 2008, I served as a Serbian Minister for Telecommunication and Information Society. From 2005 until 2008, I was an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University, and from 2007 until 2010, I was an associate research professor at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. Currently, I work as a professor at Belgrade University.
My research area are packet switches and Internet routers. Here are some of my publications.
I was a member of Technical Program Committee (TPC) for IEICE/IEEE Workshop on High Performance Switching and Routing 2002, (HPSR'02). I also served at TPCs for IEEE Workshop on High Performance Switching and Routing 2003 (HPSR'03), Workshop on QoS in Multiservice IP Networks 2003 (QoS-IP'03), International Conference on Information Technology: Research and Education 2003 (ITRE'03), IEEE HPSR 2004, and IEEE GLOBECOM 2004, QoS-IP 2005, IEEE HPSR'05, IEEE HPSR 2006, IEEE HPSR 2007, IEEE HPSR 2008, QOS-IP 2008, IEEE HPSR 2009, International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks 2009 (ICCCN'09), IEEE HPSR 2010, and IEEE HPSR 2011.
I served as a General Chair of the IEEE HPSR 2012 which took place in Belgrade, and was a guest editor for IEEE JSAC Special Issue on Switching and Routing for Scalable and Energy-Efficient Datacenter Networks in January 2014.
I was also an associate editor for OSA Journal on Optical Networking (JON) from 2003 until 2009, and as an associate editor of IEEE Communication Letters since 2005 until 2011.
