Phases of Journal Paper Submission/Review/Production

Sumbission:

- Submition via Web
- Acknowledgement of receipt (do not celebrate this event)
- Info on the area editor to which your paper is passed
- Waiting (3 months to 3 years)

Reviewing:

- Area editor selects reviewers (3 or more)
- Reviewers generate comments and the recommendation
- Editor passes the comments and recommendations to the author
- Authors improve the paper and write the RESPONSE TO REVIEWERS

Iterations of Reviewing:

- Can be 2 or 3 iterations
- Finally, the UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE LETTER arrives,
  from the Area Editor
- The same from the EIC
- Waiting for PRODUCTION to contact you.

Production:

- English (langauage)
- Proofs (layout)
- DOI
- Info that the paper is in the QUEUE
  (ask about the month of publication)
